Roadrunner Photo Roundup: Back to School Edition

Dalton State is grateful to be fully open and back together again for the first time since March 2020. Fall semester kicked off last week with students back in classes and participating in Week of Welcome events.

1. Back to Class

Dalton State welcomed Roadrunners back to campus for fully in-person classes for the first time since March 2020. Classes operated on a hybrid schedule last year. We strongly encourage everyone to wear a mask and be vaccinated to help protect yourselves and each other.

2. Mini Golf with CAB

The Campus Activity Board (CAB) welcomed Roadrunners to the Quad to kick off the annual Week of Welcome by playing mini-golf. Holes were set up across the lawn, and CAB provided refreshments.

3. Custom License Plates

Students were able to create their own custom license plates to help make their study space feel a little more personal.

4. Get the Scoop on Involvement

You scream. I scream. We all scream for ice cream! Students gathered outside Pope on a hot August day for free ice cream and swag as they learned how to get involved on campus with different clubs and organizations. We know that students who make meaningful connections on campus will have a more enriching student experience!

5. Paint U Party

What better way to celebrate being all back together than with a dance party?! Everybody dance now!

6. Farewell to Summer Luau

Alongside Week of Welcome events, members of fraternity AKL said goodbye to summer by hosting a luau. Roadrunners donned their flowery shirts and leis and gathered in the Mashburn Courtyard for fun activities, such as a conga line.

7. Free Bowling

College students love free activities! CAB hosted a night of bowling to allow students to hang out while knocking down some pins.
